There is no date on this but I can remember going to a similar dance to this one where Dad played the sax and Mother played the piano. I think this is Mother playing in the background.Which would put it around 1949 at a guess. Over to you Tony

  1. Top picture - That was mother on the piano. In front of her was Arthur Locke, the one who taught me to play the piano, right hand only. Dad is on saxophone. Billy Dowlman on violin, and Tommy Tinkham on drums. Dad used to write all his own music for the band with nothing more than biro (ball point pen) and manuscript paper.
